Imagine you're in the market for a new phone. As you start to weigh your options, you'll notice some phones add "smart" features—like a camera app that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to make photos look crisper and remove unwanted images in the backgrounds of your otherwise-perfect vacation pictures. Those are nice and fun features, but that phone was not foundationally designed with AI—it took an app to add an AI layer.
As you continue your diligence, you come across a phone built from the very start with AI: the battery learns your habits to last longer, the screen adjusts brightness automatically based on how/when you use it, the keyboard predicts words based on how you write/speak, and each application seems to be tailored to suit only your needs. How? The technology is assembled from the ground up with AI. That's what building an AI-native architecture means in software development.
"AI-native architecting is when a program or platform is created from the ground up with AI as a main building block—not something added on later."
Most older business software (think traditional tools for managing inventory, money, or daily operations) was made years ago, before AI was mainstream. Companies now add AI to their systems in bits, like including a smart search bar or suggestions for what to order next. This is called AI-enabled or AI-powered. It's helpful, but if you switch off the AI, the software still runs almost the same old way. With software that is AI-enabled/-powered, AI is just a fancy helper.
With AI-native design, AI isn't a helper—it's the foundation. The whole system is planned around smart features from Day 1. Data moves through in ways that let AI learn and improve constantly, and the software makes educated guesses and automates tasks on its own (based on historical data and trends). AI-native tools even feel more natural to interact with, like chatting with a helpful assistant instead of clicking through menus. Plus, platforms get better over time as they "learn" or "understand" how people use them.
If you took away the AI from an AI-native system, it wouldn't just miss a few tricks—it would essentially break. Because AI is woven into the core, removing it would leave a kind of hole. Systems may revert to something far less capable and far more basic, and, in extreme cases, they may even crash or require complete rewrites.
Think of the difference like this: a regular car with a GPS application (think Google Maps) = AI-enabled. A self-driving car designed with predictive traffic capabilities and route renavigation = AI-native. The self-driving car doesn't function without AI—it depends on it to see the road, predict what other cars will do, and make safe choices for you and your loved ones.
LanternBRP™ is built exactly this way—as an AI-native Business Resource Planning (BRP) platform made for all-size businesses across verticals.
Instead of starting with old-school software and layering AI on top, LanternBRP™ was designed with AI at its core. Its smart 8-plane architecture includes a strong trust boundary for security, plus layers for natural conversation interfaces (so you can ask questions in an AI-powered chat the same way you would to a live person), proactive alerts that warn you before problems happen, custom AI agents you can build, and predictive tools that spot trends and automate workflows.
This means faster real-time visibility into your operations, automated tasks that save time and money, and a system that adapts to your unique business needs organically. Businesses see benefits like faster decisions (up to +40%), lower costs (around -25%), seamless connections to 150+ other tools, and strong return on investment (often 245% in the first year). Plus, onboarding is scalable and quick, integration is faster and cheaper than traditional ERP, and the platform keeps getting smarter as your company grows.
Native AI doesn't live inside the system. It is the system. Tear the AI out, and you're not left with a lesser product—you don't have a product.
AI-native platform helps skilled trades companies reduce friction, reclaim time, and grow smarter
NEW YORK, NY, March 17, 2026 – Lantern Partners AI, a leading provider of AI-native SaaS solutions for businesses, today announced its expansion into the trades and labor sector with LanternBRP™, its modular Business Resource Planning platform designed to help service-based companies operate with greater speed, visibility, and efficiency.
Built to replace disconnected software systems with a more intelligent operating model, LanternBRP™ supports businesses across the skilled trades by simplifying scheduling, dispatch, inventory management, equipment oversight, customer communication, compliance, and other operational functions that often slow growth and strain teams.
Lantern Partners AI is actively growing its footprint across trades, with partners spanning HVAC, plumbing, engineering, and maintenance. In an industry where labor is both the greatest asset and one of the largest costs, the opportunity is not simply to cut expenses but to free skilled workers from the administrative drag that pulls them away from revenue-generating work.
Too often, highly trained professionals spend valuable time answering calls, managing schedules, tracking inventory, coordinating jobsites, and handling other back-office demands that dilute productivity. LanternBRP™ is designed to offload much of that burden through automation and intelligent workflow management, enabling companies to improve margins while allowing their teams to stay focused on the work they do best.
“LanternBRP™ is transforming the HVAC industry by bringing everything a company needs into one simple-to-use, AI-powered platform which replaces multiple disconnected tools with a single dashboard. It helps HVAC companies ‘run smarter’ by seamlessly managing the sales process, improving scheduling, dispatch and customer communication. The result for any business is increases in efficiency and profit through decreased overhead costs and a better customer experience.”
— Francis Volpe, Lantern Partner, Skilled Labor & HVAC Business Owner
“The biggest problem in the trades space is that employees are stuck managing the business aspects of the company even though the revenue is generated by their labor on the jobsite. LanternBRP™ will provide a complete overhaul for all of our partners running companies in the trades or skilled labor.”
— Craig Powell, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Lantern Partners AI

In the last 5 years, the ERP space has experienced significant disruption. The advent of AI and growing concerns over data security coupled with new challenges for implementation have created a sluggish, outdated industry. However, before we can understand why LanternBRP™ is a rising threat to the usual players in the ERP space, we have to learn what has made ERP providers successful in the first place.
The modern ERP space, in some ways, is a new solution to a problem created by internet services and applications. When there is an app for everything, the largest problem created for a business is data siloing. Payroll, HR, CRM, supply chain, sales, and investment often run independently of each other. ERP systems are designed to unify disparate data. By integrating the platforms or applications of the various sides of a business into one accessible portal, executives can see their business from a more well-rounded perspective and make more informed decisions.
Unifying separate data streams is not without its consequences. ERP systems suffer from a fundamental tradeoff: applicability to the business and ease of installation and use. In other words, the more form-fitted an ERP system is, the larger the data burden and installation costs. Conversely, accessibility comes at the cost of accuracy. Consider the dilemma from the ERP provider’s perspective—selling the same product to multiple customers in different industries allows you to scale your business. However, it also means your product is worse than an industry-specific ERP system from your competitors. A retail chain has a very different supply chain than an ecommerce platform, even though both might be selling comparable products.
You, the ERP provider, are now caught in a bind. You can create a simple, bare bones ERP system that both a retail chain and ecommerce business can use. Alternatively, you could create separate products, but with higher development costs, you now have to charge a premium to the client which harms your ability to scale your sales. The typical fix in the ERP space is to offer a limited range of ERP products: a kind of balancing act between applicability and accessibility.
Here is where LanternBRP™ will disrupt the ERP space. Through AI-native systems, tailoring the product to the business’ needs is much easier. AI-native architecture simply means that AI is foundational to a given software system, rather than overlaid on top of existing architecture. Most of the ERP space offers “AI enhanced” or “AI integrated” products, but these are chatbot overlays on the existing software. Lantern’s AI-native BRP solution can solve the existing tradeoff in the ERP space. The software can be tailored to the customer with far less human input from the provider, because the AI tailors itself to the data provided.
Key Insight: Most ERP sales are to companies generating between $50M and $500M in annualized revenue. By offering self-training, self-correcting AI-native software, LanternBRP™ opens the previously underdeveloped market of smaller companies—businesses that could never afford enterprise ERP before.
The market result of an AI-native solution is that high quality software can be sold for much cheaper, because the software is capable of self-correcting to a higher degree than before. The ERP space will be disrupted by two applications of this, working in tandem. First, ERP providers will see direct customer loss to high quality competitors who can offer the same service—if not better—for a fraction of the cost. The second effect is slower, but ultimately the larger shift of the two: by offering cheaper solutions, mid- and low-market companies can afford what was previously a premium product.
The opening of a small business market for ERP sales perfectly fits with LanternBRP™’s company values. Founder and CEO Craig Powell often calls it “putting the ‘main’ back in ‘Main Street.’” LanternBRP™’s potential is not just to make large sales figures, but also to help struggling businesses avoid the recent trend of bankruptcy. By providing analytics and management capabilities previously reserved for their larger competitors, LanternBRP™ will rebalance the playing field for many sectors.
AI-native platform helps agribusinesses unlock greener growth
NEW YORK, NY, March 10, 2026 – Lantern Partners AI, a leading provider of AI-native SaaS solutions for businesses, today announced its official expansion into the agriculture industry with the introduction of LanternBRP™, a modular Business Resource Planning platform purpose-built for the sector and many others. Designed to replace fragmented technology stacks with a more connected, intelligent operating model, LanternBRP™ helps agricultural organizations streamline crop planning, strengthen supply chain traceability, improve equipment maintenance, manage commodity price volatility, and stay ahead of compliance demands.
Lantern Partners AI is targeting agricultural producers and suppliers with expansive networks of farms and distribution centers nationwide. By moving beyond the inefficiencies of legacy systems, organizations that deploy LanternBRP™ can turn disconnected data into actionable insight through predictive analytics and robust reporting. Companies in the field are projected to achieve at least $3.8M in annual savings by optimizing crop planning with real-time weather, soil, and market insights while also enhancing traceability from farm to fork.
“We find that most Agri-SMBs have invested in many great data sources but lack the clarity or confidence needed to successfully grow their business based on those investments; this disconnect usually leads them to play more defense than offense in their daily operations.”
— Lantern Partners AI Customer
“Mid-market agriculture companies have been asked to operate modern businesses on outdated systems. Our BRP exists to fix that mismatch. We pushed into this market to give real agribusinesses the operational intelligence they can actually use to master crop planning, supply chain traceability, equipment maintenance, and market volatility so they can grow, scale and be competitive. NEW YORK, NY, March 3, 2026 – Lantern Partners AI, a leading provider of AI-native SaaS solutions for businesses, is proud to support Parthion’s acceleration into the education vertical with the LanternBRP™, a configurable Business Resource Planning platform designed for industry-specific workflows. LanternBRP™ streamlines administrative, financial, and operational data to improve resource allocation, reduce compliance risk, and enhance collaboration across business functions.
Lantern Partners AI highlights this milestone agreement with Parthion—an AI-native early warning and IEP execution platform designed to help K-12 districts identify student risk earlier, coordinate interventions, and strengthen compliance workflows. Rather than adding another disconnected tool, Parthion sits on top of existing systems to flag at-risk students, guide MTSS decisions, draft compliant IEP components within a structured sandbox, and provide real-time parent transparency. Starting at $5–8 per student for early warning and special education modules, Parthion enables districts to improve intervention execution and reduce reliance on fragmented workflows without replacing their core systems.
“The Nation’s Report Card shows significant score declines since COVID, and the majority of states are failing to meet federal special education requirements. Schools don’t have the resources to sustain the status quo, and educators don’t have the time to manage fragmented systems that add administrative burden without improving outcomes. The urgency is real. Districts need infrastructure that supports earlier identification, coordinated intervention, and stronger compliance. With Parthion operating on the LanternBRP™, districts move from reacting to problems after they escalate to proactively managing student risk, intervention fidelity, and IEP execution with continuous visibility and accountability. The time for reactive systems has passed and schools now, more than ever, need intelligent workflows that prevent students from falling through the cracks.”
— Nick Gronda, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Parthion
“Broken systems drain efficiency and morale across any industry. We’re excited to have Parthion as a client of the LanternBRP™ bringing the solution into the education vertical to help schools shape futures as well as budgets. Parthion delivers 20–40% efficiency gains, predictive insights, with seamless integration so academic leaders can focus on what counts: students, teachers, and real-life impact.”

Lantern's AI-native Business Resource Planning "BRP" disrupts outdated ERP systems and restores people-first operations
NEW YORK, NY, February 4, 2026 – LanternPartners.AI today announced its launch with a clear mission: put the “Main back in Main Street” by empowering business owners and operators with AI-native operational intelligence to manage and grow their businesses.
Positioned as a disruptor in a market long dominated by slow, expensive, and inflexible enterprise software, LanternPartners.AI introduces LanternBRP™, an AI-native Business Resource Planning platform built for businesses across any vertical. Designed to be streamlined and cost-effective, LanternBRP™ reaches the entire market, including the 99.9% of small to medium sized businesses that make up the “Main Street” of America and the 90% of small to medium-sized businesses that make up the global economy.
Unlike rigid, traditional ERP systems, LanternBRP™ is an agile and efficient SaaS platform configured around industry specific workflows and industry-specific business needs. It replaces fragmented data stacks, expensive license and transaction fees, and disconnected tools while restoring operational intelligence and giving businesses a modern foundation to scale and compete efficiently.
LanternBRP™ is built on an AI-native architecture that continuously improves as businesses operate. The platform integrates data in real time, automates core workflows across finance, sales, operations, and supply chain, nearly every aspect of a business, and delivers predictive insights that help operators identify issues before they become problems. The result is a single, intelligent platform for managing an entire business from one native AI environment.
Ahead of its formal launch, LanternPartners.AI worked with early customers across multiple industry segments to deploy configured instances of LanternBRP™ tailored to each industry’s needs. The company has developed or deployed more than 32 industry configurations and plans to continue releasing new configurations on a regular cadence.
“Main Street businesses don’t need more software. They need better systems that actually work together, update in real time, and deliver value as opposed to complexity. That’s the power of native AI. Lantern is about restoring intelligence to operations, respecting the people running these companies, and helping them make better, faster, efficient decisions while improving both customer and employee experiences.”
— Craig Powell, Founder and CEO of LanternPartners.AI
LanternBRP™ replaces what most companies currently manage across 12 to 15 disconnected tools, often costing several hundred thousand to millions of dollars annually in license fees alone. By unifying finance, go-to-market systems, CRM, inventory, sales, supply chain, HR, and more into a single native AI-driven data ecosystem, LanternBRP™ gives business owners and their teams clarity, control, and confidence.
Traditional ERP systems often require up to 18 months to deploy, millions of dollars to maintain, years to deliver meaningful value. According to industry research, by 2027 more than 70% of recently implemented ERP initiatives will fail to fully meet their original business case goals, with as many as 25% failing catastrophically. LanternBRP™ can go live within as little as 90 days, delivering immediate operational impact with far less friction and at a more cost-effective price-point.
LanternPartners.ai’s value proposition is straightforward: Better. Faster. Cheaper.
LanternPartners.AI is intentionally focused on mid-market and small businesses, including family-owned companies, regional operators, and local employers that power the U.S. and global economies. By replacing complexity with clarity and fragmentation with intelligence, LanternBRP™ helps businesses remain competitive without losing their identity.
